Nanohone's 200 grit stone is an excellent choice for gross metal removal while maintaining a balance between cutting speed and resistance to dishing. These are splash-and-go while retaining a lot of the tactile feeling of more traditional soaking stones in the 200 grit range. They are not quite as wear resistant as the Shapton Glass 220 but also do not suffer from the issue of glazing and work very effectively with moderate to light pressure.
